Wedding Photography Portfolio Birmingham
You have probably looked through dozens of wedding photography websites already. Beautiful sunset. Beautiful dress. Beautiful venue.
But what happens during the other ten hours of your wedding?
Before you choose a photographer
Pretty photographs are only part of the decision.
One wedding. Hundreds of moments.
What the day actually feels like
The portrait you will frame matters. So do the nerves before the ceremony, the hug nobody planned and the people watching from the edge of the room.
The story begins before anybody sees you
Morning preparations can be noisy, calm or slightly chaotic. We pay attention to the small things: jewellery, last-minute fixes, a quiet breath by the window and the people helping everything come together.
Knowing when not to interfere matters
Sacred moments do not need directing. They need anticipation, the right position and an understanding of what is about to happen. That lets us photograph the people around a ceremony as carefully as the ceremony itself.
The photographs you can hear
Confetti sticks to clothes, people lean into the aisle and someone always throws too early. These frames bring back the noise and energy around the moment you walk out together.
Most of our couples are not models
You should not need to know where to put your hands or which angle works. When direction helps, we give it. When something real is happening, we get out of the way.
Good light does not always exist. Knowing how to create it does.
Reception rooms change quickly. We photograph the energy as it happens and use controlled light when the room needs help, so the evening still belongs in the same story as the rest of the day.

What you are really trusting us with
Moments that cannot be repeated
Not a memory card. Not a camera. You are trusting somebody with the look your dad gives you before you leave, your mum fixing something nobody else noticed and the expression on your partner’s face when they first see you.
You will not know which photograph will matter most in ten years. Our job is to pay attention.
The strongest question you can ask
Ask to see one complete wedding.
A highlights portfolio shows what a photographer is capable of. A complete gallery shows what they deliver through preparations, ceremonies, family groups, portraits and receptions when timings, locations and light keep changing.
Camera-shy couples welcome
You do not have to perform for photographs.
Most couples tell us they feel awkward at first. We use simple prompts and natural movement. You will get direction when it helps, then space when the moment already works.

Before you make the decision
Clear answers now make the wedding day calmer later.
Can we see a complete wedding gallery?
Yes. In fact, we recommend it. A highlights portfolio shows favourite photographs; a complete gallery shows how preparations, ceremonies, family groups, portraits and receptions are covered across an entire wedding.
Do you photograph couples who feel awkward in front of the camera?
Absolutely. Most couples tell us this initially. We use simple direction when it is useful and natural movement instead of forcing complicated poses.
Do you photograph Sikh, Hindu, Muslim and Christian weddings?
Yes. Ikonic Media photographs multi-faith and multicultural celebrations, including multi-day Asian weddings, civil ceremonies and fusion weddings.
Do you photograph outside Birmingham?
Yes. Birmingham and the West Midlands are our home base, and we also cover weddings throughout the UK and destination celebrations.
Can photography and videography be booked together?
Yes. A coordinated photography and film team can work from one wedding-day plan, reducing repeated direction and helping the day run naturally.
How much does wedding photography cost?
Coverage depends on the number of events, hours, locations and team required. View our current wedding photography packages, then tell us your plans so we can recommend the right fit.
If you pictured your own wedding for a second
You need somebody paying attention to what it felt like.
Tell us your date, venue and plans. We will confirm availability and recommend the photography or photo-and-film coverage that actually fits the day.
