Wedding videography with Ikonic is individually quoted. The cost depends on your date, filming hours, locations, number of events, team size and the films you would like delivered. Share these details for a written quotation you can compare properly.
Photography prices on our website are not standalone wedding-film prices. If you want both services, ask for a combined photography and film quotation with each inclusion clearly listed.
Coverage on the day
Confirm the start and finish times, travel between locations, who will be filming and what happens if the schedule runs late.
The films you receive
Agree the edits, approximate lengths, ceremony and speech recordings, delivery format and expected turnaround.
The booking details

“What happens if plans change?”

More than one camera, always
Ceremonies and speeches happen once. We film them with multiple cameras running at the same time, so the vows are covered while a second angle holds on parents, and a speech keeps rolling while we catch the table reacting to it. One camera means choosing which moment to lose. We would rather not choose.
Sound you can actually hear
Most wedding films are let down by audio, not picture. We record sound separately with dedicated microphones on the ceremony and the speeches, rather than relying on what a camera picks up from the back of a hall. It is the difference between hearing your father’s speech and watching a room laugh at something you cannot make out.
Drone footage where it is permitted
We fly licensed and insured, and only where the location, airspace and conditions allow it. Some Birmingham venues and city-centre sites do not permit it, and we will tell you that before the day rather than promise something we cannot deliver. Where it does work, it establishes the scale of a venue in a way a ground camera cannot.
The full day, not only the highlights
Alongside the highlights film, we deliver longer-form coverage: the ceremony in full, the speeches in full, and the moments from the reception that a short film has no room for. Couples tend to watch the highlights often in the first year, then the full ceremony for decades.

Photography and film from one coordinated company
Booking a photographer from one company and a videographer from another is the most common cause of a stressful wedding morning. Two teams who have never met end up negotiating the same small spaces, the same light and the same five minutes with your family.
When both come from the same team, the day runs differently:
- The photographer and the filmmaker work around each other instead of competing for position, so neither appears in the other’s shot.
- One timeline covers both. You are not asked for the same group photographs twice.
- The grading on the film and the editing on the photographs are matched, so the two sets look like one wedding rather than two.
- One booking, one planning conversation, one invoice, and one person accountable if something needs solving.
- Nothing falls between two suppliers, because there is no gap between them.
It is the single clearest reason couples give us for booking both together rather than separately.

Knowing what happens next is most of the job. A filmmaker who has to be told where to stand will miss the moment while being told.
Sikh weddings
At an Anand Karaj we film from positions that respect Gurdwara etiquette, with heads covered and shoes removed, and we know the Laavan are four rounds rather than one long sequence. We plan around the Milni and the Doli, which bookend the morning and carry most of the emotion families want back.
Hindu weddings
A Mandap ceremony can run for hours, and the moments that matter are scattered through it. We cover the Jaan arrival and Milni, hold position for the Jai Mala and Kanyadaan, track the Saptapadi properly, and stay with the Vidaai rather than packing down early.
Muslim weddings
For a Nikah we agree coverage and boundaries with you in advance, including segregated events and any areas we should not film. Where a female filmmaker or photographer is needed for the bride’s side, tell us at booking and we will plan the team around it. We also cover Mehndi, Baraat, Rukhsati and Walima as separate events where you want them.
Christian, civil and fusion weddings follow the same approach: we ask what your day actually involves, then plan the filming around it.

What wedding film coverage costs in Birmingham
Wedding photography with us starts from £850 for five hours of coverage. Photography together with cinematic film starts from £1,500.
Film-only coverage, multi-day Asian weddings, second locations and extended hours are quoted for your specific day rather than sold as fixed tiers. The things that move the price are the number of events, how many hours you need covered, how many of us are needed on the day, and how far we travel.

A wedding videographer records moving images and sound, then edits the agreed footage into your wedding films. Coverage may include preparations, the ceremony, speeches and the reception. The hours, team and final films should be specified in your booking agreement.
Is wedding videography worth it if we have a photographer?
Photography preserves individual moments; film adds movement and sound. If hearing your vows, speeches or loved ones laughing matters to you, film offers something different. Decide around what you want to revisit and the budget you feel comfortable spending.

How far in advance should we book our wedding videographer?
Enquire once you have a date and venue, especially if your plans involve several events or travel. Availability depends on the date and team required. Send your details to check availability rather than relying on a fixed booking window.
Can vows and speeches be included in our wedding film?
Tell us which words and people you want to hear again. Confirm audio recording, venue restrictions and whether you want selected extracts or full ceremony and speech recordings. These should be agreed as part of your film brief.
How long will our wedding film be, and when will it arrive?
Film length and delivery time depend on the edits you commission and the coverage involved. Your quotation and booking agreement should state both. If you need a teaser for a particular date, discuss it before booking.
Will we receive raw footage or be able to choose the music?
Do not assume raw footage is included. Ask about its availability, format and any additional charge. Share your music preferences, but confirm licensing and usage rights with the filmmaker, especially if you plan to post the film online.
Can our wedding film stay private?
Tell us about your privacy preferences before booking, including guests or moments you do not want shown publicly. Confirm delivery access and any permission for portfolio or social media use in your agreement.
What should we send when asking for a quotation?
