Ikonic Media Solutions offers newborn photography in Birmingham and the West Midlands, including in-home sessions by arrangement. We discuss your baby’s age, your family, the setting and the photographs you would like, then confirm the session and quotation together.
Perhaps you want a few simple baby portraits. Perhaps you want to be in the photographs too, with a sibling leaning in or your partner holding the baby. Tell us what matters. We can start there.

Before booking any newborn photographer, ask about their experience with newborns, how they handle and support babies, hygiene arrangements and the style of photographs they propose. Ask to see relevant complete galleries, not just one favourite image.
Simple is enough.
Discuss natural photographs with your baby comfortably held or resting. An elaborate prop or pose is not a requirement. Do not try to recreate a complex newborn pose from an online photograph.

We will discuss a quotation. Confirm session time, deliverables, expected turnaround, travel, any extras and booking or rescheduling terms before making payment.

When should we enquire about newborn photography?
You can enquire during pregnancy or after your baby arrives. Share your due period or your baby’s current age and we can discuss timing and availability. Confirm how a date change will be handled rather than assuming a due date is an exact appointment.
Is our baby too old for newborn photographs?
Tell us your baby’s age and what you would like photographed. The approach may change as babies grow, but you can still discuss baby portraits or a family session. We do not need to recreate a photograph designed for a different stage.
Can the newborn session take place at home?
In-home newborn sessions can be discussed in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Share your location, available space, natural light and any access needs. We will confirm whether the setting suits your brief and any travel arrangements before booking.
How much does a newborn session cost?
Enquire for a quotation around your session, location and chosen deliverables. Ask for the session time, edited photographs, gallery delivery, travel and any prints or albums to be listed clearly. Confirm payment and cancellation terms before booking.
How long will the session take?
Agree the planned session length when booking, including time for feeding, changing and settling. Tell us about any time constraints or other children attending. The plan should allow for your baby’s needs rather than depend on continuous photography.
What should we prepare or bring?
Discuss simple clothing and any meaningful items beforehand. Have your usual baby-care essentials available and tell us about outfit or blanket ideas. There is no need to disrupt your baby’s routine just to try to create a particular photograph.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Yes, discuss who you want in the photographs when you enquire. Share siblings’ ages, the group size and any access needs so the session time and setting can be planned appropriately. Confirm the agreed group photographs in your brief.
Do you use props or special newborn poses?
Tell us what you have in mind, but do not assume a particular prop or pose is included or suitable. Discuss handling, support and the photographer’s relevant experience before booking. Simple photographs with your baby comfortably held can be meaningful without elaborate staging.
When will we receive the photographs?
Your quotation and booking agreement should confirm the selection process and expected delivery date. Prints and albums may have a separate schedule. If you need photographs for a particular occasion, tell us before booking.
Can our baby’s photographs remain private?
