Family photoshoots · Birmingham & West Midlands
Your family.
Right now.Worth remembering.
You do not need matching outfits, perfectly behaved children or a “special enough” occasion.
You need a photograph with you in it. The everyday cuddles. The big personalities. The people who make your life yours. Let’s make some space for that.

A reminder for the person behind the phone
You belong in
the photograph, too.
Your camera roll tells their story.
Let’s put you back in it.
You organise the birthdays. You take the holiday pictures. You spot the moments before anyone else. But when you look back, how often are you actually there?
A family photoshoot is a chance to stop organising for a little while and be with your people. Bring the shy teenager, the busy toddler, the grandparents and the version of yourself that exists today. That is enough.
No milestone required.
A birthday is a lovely reason. So is everyone being home for the weekend. You do not need to wait for a big event to make photographs together.
No performance expected.
Tell us what helps your family relax. We can discuss space for movement, a quieter setting and a plan that does not depend on everybody smiling at once.
No one-size-fits-all family.
One parent, two parents, blended families, siblings or several generations. Tell us who matters to you. The photographs should reflect your relationships.

Home comforts or
a little room to roam?
Ikonic Media Solutions provides family photography in Birmingham and the West Midlands from a Wednesbury base. Home and outdoor sessions can be discussed, with the location, access and coverage agreed before booking.
01 / At home
The place you feel most like you.
Worth considering for a familiar setting, visiting grandparents or children who settle more easily in their own space.
- Tell us about natural light and space for the group.
- Choose a room or garden you enjoy spending time in.
- Share any access needs or private areas before the session.
02 / Outdoors
Fresh air. A walk. A bit of freedom.
Worth considering if your family enjoys being outside and would prefer movement to sitting in one place.
- Think about walking distance, seating and toilets.
- Choose a time around children’s routines and the light.
- Agree a weather plan, permissions and any entry fees.
Planning around Birmingham? Tell us whether you are in Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull or elsewhere in the West Midlands. A familiar local setting may suit you better than travelling across the city. For parks and gardens, check current access, parking charges and photography permissions with the venue; they are not automatically included with a session.

Questions families ask
before getting in the frame.
How much is a family photoshoot in Birmingham?
Contact Ikonic Media Solutions for a quotation based on your family, preferred location and the photographs you would like. Share your group size, preferred date and any prints or albums you have in mind. We will confirm the session details and price before you book.
What should we wear for family photographs?
Start with clothes you feel comfortable in and colours that sit well together. Coordinating does not have to mean matching. Avoid anything that makes moving or sitting difficult. Cultural clothing and meaningful outfits are welcome; tell us about outfit changes when planning the session.
What if our children will not sit still or smile?
Tell us their ages, routines and what helps them feel comfortable. Plan around food and rest where possible, and bring a familiar toy if helpful. Discuss a setting with space for movement rather than making the whole session depend on a posed group photograph.
Can grandparents and extended family join?
Yes. Tell us how many adults and children will be joining so we can discuss suitable coverage and group photographs. Share seating, mobility and access needs before booking so we can plan a comfortable session together.
Can we have a family photoshoot at home?
Home and garden sessions can be discussed across Birmingham and the West Midlands. Tell us about space, light and how many people will be there. We will agree whether your setting suits the photographs you want, rather than assuming every home needs the same setup.
What happens if rain affects an outdoor session?
Agree the weather arrangements before booking. Depending on your location and the conditions, discuss an indoor option or a different date. Venue availability, permissions and any rescheduling terms should be confirmed in writing.
When will we receive our photographs?
Your quotation and booking agreement will confirm the expected gallery delivery date. If you choose prints, an album or a film, ask about their delivery dates too, as these may arrive separately.
Can you accommodate camera-shy adults or additional needs?
Please tell us what would help. This might mean a quieter setting, shorter walking distances, sitting for some photographs or allowing more time to settle. Discuss specific access, sensory or communication needs before booking so we can agree a practical plan together.
Will our children’s photographs be posted online?
Discuss your preferences before booking and confirm any portfolio or social-media permissions in writing. If you do not want identifiable photographs shared publicly, say so when you enquire. Also check how gallery access and sharing will work for your session.
How do we book a family photoshoot?
Send your preferred dates, location, number of adults and children, and the photographs you would love to have. We will discuss the session and confirm availability. Review the quotation, deposit, cancellation terms and delivery details before making payment.

You do not need to have it all figured out
Start with:
“We would love a photo
of all of us.”
That is a good enough brief for the first conversation.
We can work through the rest together.
Send us three things:
Who is coming. Where you have in mind.
When you would like to do it.
