Wedding photographer in Moseley
Wedding photography in Moseley, with the warmth of your own celebration.
Ikonic Media Solutions provides wedding photography and film for Moseley celebrations, from family-home preparations to Highbury Hall and receptions across south Birmingham. We plan portraits around the venue you have booked, not a checklist of landmarks.
Ikonic Media wedding photography starts from £850 for five hours.
The experience
Make photographs part of the day, not a break from it.
A wedding in Moseley can bring together family-home preparations, a ceremony and a reception with very different atmospheres. We look for the connection between them: who is there, how you greet each other and what changes as the celebration gets going. Couple portraits are planned in a manageable slot, with straightforward guidance and somewhere indoors if the weather turns.
We serve Moseley and the surrounding Birmingham area from our Wednesbury base. Highbury Hall, a family home and a separate portrait visit should be listed as distinct stops; that makes the photography proposal useful before the wedding, not just attractive on paper.
Before the cameras come out
Agree the coverage. Then enjoy the day.
Talk through what matters
Bring your date, venue bookings and a few priorities. We will discuss the people and events you want covered, including anything you would prefer to keep private.
Put the practical details in writing
Your proposal should explain the hours, team and services you are booking. Confirm travel, deliverables, the delivery schedule and the terms before deciding.
Feel comfortable in the photographs
You do not need a collection of practised poses. We give clear direction for portraits and family groups, then leave space for the celebration to happen.

Local venue planning
Wedding photography in Moseley: venues and practical details
The rooms you have reserved, your ceremony arrangements and the reception timings shape the photography. Use these local starting points to discuss access with your venue coordinator.
Highbury Hall, Yew Tree Road
Highbury Hall in Moseley offers civil ceremonies, receptions and landscaped grounds. An on-site celebration can reduce transfers, but it still needs a plan for preparation, ceremony and room changes. Ask which indoor space will remain available for portraits if the gardens are wet.
Official venue informationMoseley Park and Pool: a portrait option
The park has a lake and established greenery, but access is controlled rather than simply unrestricted. Open days and subscriber access have different arrangements. Check permission for professional photography, your date and entry before making it part of a wedding or engagement session.
Official venue informationNearby: Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens are in Edgbaston, not Moseley. They may suit a separate portrait plan if the timing and permission work. Contact the venue about photoshoot access, and count the journey as part of the day rather than assume it is a quick walk from Highbury Hall.
Official venue informationSt Mary’s and St Anne’s: church ceremonies
Both churches offer wedding ceremonies through the Moseley parish. Confirm which church you are booking, then ask the officiant about camera positions, flash and recording before finalising photography or film. If your reception is at Highbury Hall, include the church exit, family greetings and onward transfer in the schedule.

Planning your Moseley wedding: six details to agree
Build around your ceremony sequence
For a Hindu wedding, Nikah, Sikh ceremony, church service or civil celebration, tell us what happens before and after the vows. Family blessings, clothing changes and a separate reception can change the schedule more than the ceremony length itself.
Choose one useful portrait route
A few photographs near your reception can mean more than a long trip to a second park. We suggest a manageable indoor and outdoor plan once your venue, access and timings are known. If Moseley Park is important to you, arrange access before reserving a portrait slot.
Plan people as carefully as places
Give us a short family list and mention anyone who needs seating, a shorter walk or extra time. Keep the main groups near the celebration before taking couple portraits further away. If preparations overlap at different addresses, we can discuss a second photographer.
Separate the church exit from the Highbury arrival
For a St Mary’s or St Anne’s ceremony followed by Highbury Hall, decide whether family groups happen at the church or on arrival at the Hall. Give guests the exact reception address: 4 Yew Tree Road, B13 8QG. Allow for greetings, loading and parking as well as driving; agree the route once both bookings are confirmed.
Give Moseley Park its own access plan
Moseley Park and Pool lists its entrance at 93B Alcester Road, B13 8DD. This is a different destination from Highbury Hall. Check the park’s opening arrangements and event calendar for your date, then confirm photography permission and the meeting point. An open day does not reserve a quiet backdrop for your portraits.
Protect daylight at Highbury Hall
For an autumn or winter celebration, check sunset for your actual wedding date before placing grounds portraits after the wedding breakfast. Agree a short outdoor session while there is daylight and a permitted indoor alternative. If the day also includes a church ceremony or family-home preparations, build those transfers into the plan first.
Highbury Hall alone, or a separate portrait stop?
Tell us the rooms booked and any plans for Moseley Park. We will help assess the timing, with access confirmed by the relevant venue.
Your ceremony and your families
Coverage that respects how you celebrate
For multi-faith or multicultural celebrations, share the moments your families want photographed and anything they would prefer to keep private. A Hindu ceremony, Nikah, Sikh celebration, church wedding or civil ceremony needs its own plan. Clothing changes and separate events deserve space in the schedule, especially when the reception starts at a different address.

A clear starting point
Five hours of wedding photography, from £850
Ikonic Media wedding photography starts from £850 for five hours. Film, additional hours and multi-day celebrations are quoted separately.
The right coverage depends on the fixed ceremony time, preparations, reception and any transfers. We will explain what fits the starting coverage and quote additional services against your plans.
Compare photography and film coverage. A pre-wedding session is another option if you would like time in front of the camera before the wedding.
When you would like the voices and movement, too
Wedding film is available alongside photography by quotation. These films are examples from the wider Ikonic portfolio, not evidence of a commission at a venue on this page.
Answers before you enquire
Your Moseley wedding photography questions
How much does Ikonic Media charge for wedding photography in Moseley?
Ikonic Media wedding photography starts from £850 for five hours. Film, additional hours and multi-day celebrations are quoted separately. For Highbury Hall, start with the preparation address and the rooms booked on site; a separate Moseley Park portrait visit would also need time and confirmed access.
Can you plan wedding photography at Highbury Hall?
Yes. Share your booked ceremony and reception spaces, timings and coordinator’s guidance. We can plan family groups and portraits around the grounds and an indoor fallback, with permissions confirmed by the venue.
Is Moseley Park automatically available for wedding photographs?
No. The park has controlled access, with open days and subscriber arrangements. Check entry and any professional-photography permission before booking a separate portrait stop. Do not assume your wedding venue booking includes access to the park.
Are Highbury Hall and Moseley Park the same venue?
No. Highbury Hall is on Yew Tree Road; Moseley Park and Pool has its own access arrangements. Give us the precise venue and entrance so the schedule does not confuse two different locations.
Can you photograph a St Mary’s or St Anne’s ceremony before a Highbury Hall reception?
Yes, subject to availability and the coverage agreed. Confirm which Moseley church you have booked and share the ceremony time, officiant’s photography and filming guidance, and Highbury Hall reception schedule. We will plan the church exit, family groups and transfer together; photography and film setup need time before the next event.
How would you cover family preparations in Moseley before a Highbury Hall celebration?
Send each preparation address and the booked ceremony room and time at Highbury Hall. We can plan a coordinated photo and film team around the sequence. If two preparations happen simultaneously, we will discuss the additional coverage needed. Film is quoted separately; the £850 starting price covers five hours of photography.
How should we arrange portraits if it rains at Highbury Hall?
Ask the coordinator which indoor room will remain available during reception setup. Keep family groups close to that space and leave a short grounds session as an option if the weather improves. A Highbury Hall booking does not give you an automatic alternative inside Moseley Park.
Can we add Botanical Gardens portraits to a Highbury Hall wedding?
Only if permissions and the schedule work. Birmingham Botanical Gardens is in Edgbaston, while Highbury Hall is on Yew Tree Road in Moseley. Arrange the gardens’ photoshoot access first, then allow for the separate journey and the return to your guests.
