A Muslim wedding asks something particular of a photographer: to be present for the most important moments of a family's life while respecting how that family chooses to celebrate. For more than 20 years we have done exactly that across Birmingham and the West Midlands, at mosques, at home and in the region's largest banqueting halls.

We plan around your family's wishes, not the other way round
Some Nikahs are intimate, a handful of people in a mosque or a front room. Some fill a Birmingham banqueting suite with six hundred guests. Some families celebrate together; many hold separate gatherings for men and women, or a segregated Walima. None of this is a problem for us. It is simply the brief.
Before the wedding we talk through how your events will run: whether you would like a female photographer for the ladies' side, which guests should and should not be photographed, whether the bride wishes to be photographed before the Nikah, and how your family feels about photography during the prayer and the signing. We build the coverage around those answers.
What you get in return is a photographer who is calm, discreet and never in the imam's way, and a set of photographs your parents, your grandparents and your children will be glad exist.

What we photograph across your Muslim wedding
Muslim weddings in Birmingham are wonderfully varied, shaped by Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Arab, Somali, Turkish and British traditions. These are the events we photograph most often, and how we approach each one.
Mehndi & Dholki
Yellow and green, drums, dancing and the henna going on late into the night. Often the most relaxed evening of the wedding and the one where the candid photographs really sing. We light evening venues gently so the colour and the atmosphere both survive.
The Nikah
The heart of the wedding. The imam's address, the ijab and qabul, the signing of the Nikah nama and the first duas as a married couple. We photograph from a respectful distance, without flash where it is not welcome, and never interrupt.
Baraat & Rukhsati
The groom's arrival with his family, the welcome at the door, and later the Rukhsati, when the bride leaves her parents' home. Emotional, fast-moving and easy to miss unless a photographer already knows the moment is coming.
The Walima
The groom's family's celebration, from an elegant hotel dinner to a full banqueting hall. We cover the couple's entrance, the speeches, the families and the guests, including separate coverage of ladies' and gents' sides where that is how your evening runs.
Couple & family portraits
Time set aside for photographs of the two of you, your parents and your wider families, planned so nobody is kept waiting and no one is photographed who would rather not be.
Segregated events
For ladies-only gatherings we can arrange a female photographer, deliver a separate private gallery, and agree in advance exactly which images may be shared. Ask us about availability when you enquire.

Talk through your events with us
A relaxed consultation, in person at our Wednesbury base or by video call. We map each event, venue and timing, and we ask the questions about privacy, segregation and family customs that matter to you.
The right team for each gathering
A small Nikah may need one photographer. A Walima for hundreds may need two, or a female photographer for the ladies' hall, or a film team alongside. We size the team honestly and explain why.
Photographs delivered with care
Natural, faithful colour and skin tones. A private online gallery you control, print-ready files and, if you would like one, a fine-art album. Private images stay private.

If you would like a film of your Nikah or Walima, our cinematography team works to the same plan and the same privacy agreements as the photographers. One coordinated team, one point of contact, and a film that can be edited with or without music as your family prefers.

Mosques, homes and banqueting halls we know well
We are based in Wednesbury, close to West Bromwich and a short drive from Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall, so the region's mosques and Asian wedding venues are familiar ground. We photograph Nikahs in Birmingham's mosques, in family homes and in the city's hotels, and Walimas everywhere from Sparkbrook and Small Heath to Solihull and Coventry. Photography arrangements inside a mosque are always agreed with the mosque beforehand.

Weddings that run across several days, or that need a second or female photographer, or photography and film together, are quoted individually so you only pay for what your celebration actually needs.

Questions couples ask us
Muslim wedding photography FAQs
Can you provide a female photographer for the ladies' side?
Yes, subject to availability, so please ask when you enquire. We can arrange a female photographer for segregated events and deliver those images in a separate private gallery that only the people you choose can see.
Will you photograph during the Nikah itself?
Only in the way your family and the imam are comfortable with. We agree beforehand whether photographs are welcome during the address, the ijab and qabul and the signing, and we work quietly, from a distance and without flash where it is not appropriate.
Do you photograph inside mosques in Birmingham?
Yes, where the mosque allows it. We confirm permissions and any conditions with the mosque before the day, and we follow them exactly.
Can we keep our photographs private?
Absolutely. Your gallery is private by default, and we never publish images of a Muslim wedding without the couple's and, where relevant, the families' clear permission. Tell us your wishes and we will put them in writing.
Do you cover the Mehndi, Nikah and Walima as one booking?
Yes. Most of our Muslim wedding couples book two or three events together. We plan the coverage as one project, with one team and one proposal, which is usually better value than booking events separately.
Do you offer photography and videography together?
Yes. Our film team works to the same plan and the same privacy agreements as our photographers. Films can be edited with or without music. See our wedding videographer Birmingham page for options.

Popular Birmingham dates, especially summer weekends and the weeks around Eid, go quickly. Contact us as soon as your dates are fixed and we will confirm availability straight away.
