Calculate My Wedding Budget

You can see your initial results without entering your email address.

Saving is optional. Supplier notes and figures stay in this browser until you choose to send a plan. Contact fields are never saved here.

This calculator provides planning guidance and estimates, not financial advice or supplier quotations. Your budget is a spending limit, not a predicted market price.

A little guidance, a calmer plan

    Make room for what matters.

How to use the Wedding Budget Calculator

Start with an amount you are comfortable spending. Add your celebrations, choose three priorities and replace the suggested allowances with quotes as you receive them. Track amounts paid separately from the full planned cost.

What should a UK wedding budget include?

Include venue hire, meals and drinks, ceremony fees, outfits, jewellery, photography, film, décor and the practical costs of getting everyone there. Check whether VAT, staffing, furniture, setup and clearing away are included. Treat a venue package once: record the full package in one category and note what it covers.

How guest numbers affect wedding costs

Meals, drinks, tables and favours can change with the guest list. Minimum venue commitments may stay fixed even if attendance falls. This tool uses guest attendance across selected events to adjust catering’s relative weight; actual savings depend on your contracts.

Budgeting for a multi-day Asian wedding

Give each selected celebration a date, attendance estimate and coverage choice when known. Repeated catering, travel, styling and setup can matter more than the ceremony label. Event budgets are reference estimates within your total, not extra costs added to the category table.

    Planning photography and wedding film

Consider simultaneous preparations, travel, ceremony access and all the moments you want covered. Ask about the complete deliverables and coverage across every event. Explore our Birmingham wedding photography and wedding films. Ikonic quotations remain bespoke.

    Frequently forgotten wedding expenses

Check corkage, overtime, supplier meals, delivery, parking, alterations, legal fees, extra transport and accommodation. Write assumptions alongside the relevant category and confirm them with suppliers.

    Why a contingency fund matters

A reserve gives unexpected costs somewhere to go. This calculator starts at 7%, with an editable 5–10% planning range. You can choose another amount. A contingency is part of your total budget, not additional money.

For a broader approach, read planning a wedding without debt and MoneyHelper’s wedding budget guide. The calculator’s allocation weights and confidence score are Ikonic planning heuristics, not published market averages.

    Before you begin

    Your questions, answered.

Is the Wedding Budget Calculator free?

Yes. The calculator, results, saving, printing and PDF download are free and do not commit you to booking.

Do I need to enter my email address?

No. Every result is visible first. An email address is required only if you ask to receive your plan by email or request a personal review.

Does it work for Asian and multi-day weddings?

Yes. Choose the events relevant to your Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, civil, fusion or other celebration, then specify optional attendance and coverage details for each.

Can I change the suggested allocations?

Yes. An amount you enter is protected from automatic changes. You can also lock categories. Use “Use recommendation” to release a protected entry. If fixed amounts exceed your total, the calculator shows the shortfall instead of erasing them.

Does Ikonic Media see my budget?

Not from using or saving the calculator. An email request sends the plan to the website’s email service for delivery. Ikonic receives the summary only if you explicitly request a review. Supplier notes are excluded from emails and sharing.

Is the result an exact supplier quotation?

No. It divides your chosen budget using transparent assumptions. Check availability, inclusions and costs directly with each supplier.

Can I save or download my budget?

Yes. Optionally save it on this browser for 30 days, print it, download a branded PDF or request an email. Saving is device-specific; clearing browser data removes it.

How should we budget for photography and film?

Start with the events and moments you want to remember, then account for locations, overlapping events, team size and deliverables. Replace the tool’s allowance with a bespoke quotation.

Can Ikonic Media personally review our wedding plan?

Yes. After viewing your results, choose “Ask Diven to Review My Plan” and explicitly select the review permission. You can send your summary securely without putting it in a public URL.

    Your plan stays yours.

Until you choose email or review, calculations happen in your browser. Optional saved progress expires after 30 days and is removed when this page next opens; reset or switch saving off to delete it immediately. We do not add your names, budget, contact details or notes to calculator analytics.

Email delivery uses this website’s WordPress mail service. The calculator does not retain your plan in a database. Mail providers may retain messages and delivery logs under their own policies. Review emails and explicit marketing consent records reach Ikonic’s business inbox and follow the existing privacy policy; contact info@ikonicmediasolutions.co.uk for deletion or to withdraw consent. Anti-abuse counters use hashed identifiers and expire after one day.
